Like many of our cheeses it has a back story, and this one began with the friendship of our founder, Judy, her husband, Larry, her bestie, Mary Keehn, at Cypress Grove. At a cheesy event in New England they took a side trip to the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA and saw the painting Nymphs and Satyr painted by French artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau in 1873. Cheesy imaginations began to run to many even cheesier rabbit holes. It became an inspiration for a 3 ingredient torta that everyone loved but was a pain to make and eventually was buried in the vault of great ideas. Inspired by fun and friendship, it is perfect for the holidays. The t-shirts might even make a comeback!
